Renters insurance protects you in three ways

If you live in a rented mobile home, your landlord has no obligation to insure you or your belongings. To protect yourself, you should purchase renters insurance.

Personal property. As a renter, most of your money is tied up in your personal possessions. A burst pipe or kitchen fire may well damage or ruin what you own.

We provide two options to protect your personal property:  choose actual cash value, or replacement cost. Find out the difference between replacement cost and actual cash value protection.

Living expenses. If you are forced out of your home because of a covered peril, renters insurance helps provide for extra lodging and meal expenses you’ll have, until you can move back or relocate.

Personal liability. This is an optional coverage. If a guest is injured while in the home, or if you accidentally injure someone or damage property away from the home, you may be liable. By adding this option, our policy will provide you with protection, plus legal defense.

Although renters insurance is common for people living in an apartment, condo or rented home, this program only accepts tenants living in manufactured housing.

Not sure you need it?

Think about the cost of all of these items you likely own:

•   Clothes and accessories
•   Computer
•   Stereo/portable audio
•   Kitchenware
•   Hobby materials
•   Furniture
•   TV/DVD/DVR
•   CDs/DVDs
•   Linens
•   Books/Art/Collectibles
•   Exercise equipment
•   Gaming equipment
•   Camera/Video camera
•   Sports equipment

Without insurance, replacing these common items is an out-of-pocket expense. Can you afford to replace them all?

Renters insurance is an affordable and important coverage if you live in a manufactured home that you rent.
