Insurance Tips > Motorcycle/ATV Safe Driving
Preparation:
- Riding a bike isn't simple. Take a course if you're a new bike owner.
- Protective clothing, like leather pants, motorcycle boots and gloves, are a better choice than shorts and gym shoes
- Colorful clothing is easier for other motorists to see
On the road:
- Always wear a helmet; they are proven lifesavers
- Never drink and drive.
- Obey all traffic laws.
- Stay alert and drive with caution. Take note of other drivers' actions, especially in instances where they may not see you. Check your blind spot before switching lanes.
- Note road conditions. Wet, slick roads can lead to a crash; so can sharp curves or debris in the roadway.
